welcome to
the switch fix
#NSFWchallenge
a fun intervention that acts as a gateway to your plastic-free journey.
plastic is not safe
in addition to being an environmental hazard, plastic is a big health hazard.
BPA and other chemicals in plastic are classified as endocrine disruptors, which alter the function of the endocrine system by mimicking the role of the body’s natural hormones. so if you have serious mood problems, body temperature issues, heart rate fluctuations, erratic sleep patterns, oscillating blood pressure and testosterone levels, then chances are it is #probablyplastic. in addition, the toxins in plastic cause increased risk of cancer, birth defects, obesity, suppressed immune system and other long-term chronic diseases.
introducing the
#NSFWchallenge
our own take on internet’s widely popular slang; NSFW.
NSFW, an internet slang, is commonly used to identify content that is not suitable for work or children.
plastic is not safe, for you and for the world. to raise awareness, we redefined NSFW as ‘Not Safe For World’. what we’re asking you to do is very simple.
- identify 9 plastic items around you and end your toxic relationship with them. put the NSFW sticker on them and let them be a reminder to end your relationship.
- put up pictures of those 9 items on your social media handles with the hashtag #NSFWchallenge and inspire others to breakup too.
